There is no way to express how wonderful it is to be home after more than three weeks. Mayo Clinic is a very regimented Research Center and testing began by 8:00 AM, and scheduling was often through out the day until 5:00 PM. Enough of that. I am home with some photographs to share with all my friends here at home on Treklens. Let me say I have missed all of you more than you will know.....

A promise is to be kept. Always. I promised Hans (Quark) I would return with a photo of the Atlantic Ocean just for him. So, Hans, I got up before the sunrise, drove to the beach and set up and waited for the first glow across the ocean. This photo is before the sun has peeped above the horizon and was taken at 7:00 AM (yawn).....

I have the entire sunrise and have decided to do a short series showing the different personalities of this beautiful ocean as the sun rises over it. I hope everyone enjoys it......

Hey Kat, it's nice to have you back. Hope you're doing ok ?
I really love the colours here, you did an excellent job on boosting the colour saturation and contrast. I can see you shot this very early though, probably half asleep, as the horizon is not level ;o). (Sorry, the nit-picking has worsened). Anyway, I look forward to more shots from the Atlantic. TFS.
Hey, is that bird a Sandpiper ? Would make it sort of a self-portrait then...

Remember! It was a word... And Sunset is the perfect symbol to remember... Think about all the pictures of sunsets could be taken by tourists... By us, because we find them beautifull! And here... It's spectacular!

Very happy to see you again! Let's say my sunset is for you too! I do this montage to celebrate the return of the spring... They always said a swallow do not make the spring... But it's look like... SandPiper can bring it... Welcome Back! (Hug)

Great to have you back! I can assure you that you were missed as is witnessed by the members' comments. Your bright photos and cheery words make each morning begin with vigor. I hope that you received positive results from your ordeal of testing and evaluating and are feeling much better now. Of course being back behind your camera has to be elevating within itself! ... A beautiful capture of a sunrise that is breathtaking. The only way I can get such a shot is to stay up all night! Yawn...........

I have been waiting to see another photo from you Kat, and now you have posted your first after your long hospital stay. So glad to have you back again. The sunrise is wonderful with warm and beautiful colours over the calm ocean. We hope it is a new dawn for you too Kat, and that your tests will help to improve any treatments necessary. Hugs, Joan.

Hi Kathleen!!! It's great to have you back!!! I've been wondering lately about how much long you would be at the Mayo, and what a fantastic surprise to log on the computer to see this great shot of yours!!!
I hope you are really feeling better ;-)
Ana

Wonderful sunrise Kat you've captured it well with one lone bird flying in the middle. Glad to see your back and well.

Double wow! Fantastic sunset, excellent shot, well done!

Good to have you back. And thank you for a great sunrise over the sea. As someone who lives 350 km from the coast, but was born by the sea, this kind of image will always bring real emotions. And good that your horizon is not level. If it was there wouldn't be anything to critisize at all in this lovely shot. Welcome back.

Another beauty, execelent view and well composed.
What's that tune, "Welcome back"

Mike

Lovely deep reds and the water surface is just like an oil painting.
Very dramatic yet soft and romantic shot, Kath!
Bravo!

Hi Kat, I was surprised and very happy to see you back again, I surely hope it made you wings stronger.
I think it must have been such a big contrast standing along the shore of the Atlantic Ocean after being at the clinic. Free again! Quark, and all the others, are very happy with the result. I hope you also enjoyed your view, I can imagine what sort of feeling it gives looking at such a wide horizon, just you and the elements of nature (I live near the sea). I would return to this spot from time to time, just like my car, refuel and get ready to hit the road again.
About the photo, a like the very very small detail (is it you?), the bird, flying. Almost no signature needed in this creation. You captured a beautifull begin of the day, clean and fresh. No big waves, no loud noises, no very bright light. Just the right atmosphere to wake up, and to see that nature, earth, welcomes, -just you-.
See you again Kat, enjoy the pleasure and freshness of spring as much as I do. ;-)

Lovely deep, vivid colors. So beautiful and calm, I love the comfort the ocean has always brought me. Super photo Kathleen.
