[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
As I stood in awe as the morning sun rose over the great Atlantic Ocean and the sky began to transform into a velvet violet hue unequal to any color mixed by man, I began to understand that in the sweet by and by I'd know the reasons why. And when my wings are strong again, I know I will fly... I think to find the answers, maybe the struggle is the place to start. To solve the great mysteries of life, perhaps we should consult the Heart....
I humbly dedicate this photograph to every member here at the Great Land of Treklens with the words that I listened to as this scene took place at the ocean side so early in the morning. As if it were meant to be, Bette Midler sang "The Wind Beneath My Wings".....

Did you ever know that you're my hero,
And everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle.....
'Cause you are the wind beneath my wings..

It might have appeared to go unoticed,
But I've got it all here in my Heart.
I want you to know I know the truth,
I would be nothing without you.....

For you are the wind beneath my wings.....

With love, .....:O) Kat

What a great way to start my day ;-) It's rainning a little this morning so this was definitely a treat!
Thanks!!!
Ana

Great sunset shot - the bird is a bonus - well shot :)

What a lovely view to see first thing in the morning. The sky colours are gorgeous, and the flying bird ...what a treat. Nice work Kat.

Amazing colors!I just don't like to see the signature in the right corner...I find it distracting...but that's a matter of taste.

Kat,

I got emotional as I read your note. Your picture is delightul. Thanks for the wonderful "moment" spent in your little corner. I appreciate YOU!

God's best,

Tim

beautiful Kat.. both the shot and especially the note.. i know i haven't been here that long and frankly it took me a while to start feeling brave enough to critique and communicate with others and feel part of this great TL community.. but you're so right when you say how special it is and was a great supportive family we have here.. both in a creative sense and a human one.. i certainly know how much it's helping me cope with my troubles and find a stimulating focus to distract from them.. especially as my health keeps me exiled at home so distractions are few and the internet has become such a precious link to the world...

i so hope you are feeling well Kat and are gaining strength from the affection all of us have for you and our apprecition for your very sweet thoughts :-)

such a lovely sunset here.. how right you are.. scenes like this just remind us of the glorious gift this world can be.. no one could have imagined such colours possible if not for nature bequesting them to us.. and the symbol of the bird flying freely over this wonderful painted sky is just the perfect metaphor for what you're saying.. i know you will fly strong again and indeed, spiritually you never stopped... and that's what's most important :)

take good care dear Kat

Can't tell you how happy I am to see you here!
With your great shot of the free bird in the morning sun, may it be a symbol for you, the first day of the rest of your life! I did send you a mail before I checked in here... well, I am finding myself loaded with joy now!

Wonderful photo. I love sunsets/sunrises and the inspiration they bring. Seldom do I get to see a sunrise as I am a late sleeper ZZZZZZZZZZ! I do look forward to yours posts each day and enjoy the inspiration, entertainment and knowledge that they bring. Thanks for being there.

As I already mentioned, so busy with life and it's nice to read how you use your words.
A simply shot but filled with beautiful nature-colours and this lonely "meeuw" (okay, a dutch word for you too...), isn't it nice, the Atlantic ?

Oops, smiley-box is empty....
Come back tomorrow, same place, same time...

Awesome colours you've captured there, Kat... As I saw the thumbnail, I started humming 'lonely looking sky, lonely sky, lonely looking sky' - Neil Diamond popped up in my mind. You should mail him this shot. TFS.

Merhaba Kathleen...It is beautiful...Especially, warm tones are great...Clouds are magnificient with their horizontal positions...Excellent photo...
