Before beginning another day at Mayo, I enjoyed the early morning walks along the beach of the Atlantic Ocean. Collecting shells brought in by these giant waves was encouraged and I am a shell collector! Watching the golden sun rise over the magnificient ocean with the awakening sea birds, the warm breeze blowing my hair, soft sand between my toes and the sea foam caressing my feet and ankles while these giant waves crashed heavily ashore was sheer Heaven for me. If Heaven is anything like those mornings of bliss, I will be happy when I reach Heaven's shores.....

I felt fortunate to catch this wave just as it crashed to shore. The ocean spray is evident and the dark portion of the wave is full of sea shells!

A special thank you for my warm welcome back and concerns as to how I am doing. It is good to be back a while at my little warm corner on Treklens and be visited by good friends from across the world. Where else could I be fortunate enought to have that priviledge? My love to all.....:O)

A beautiful note and an amazing image. I would love to be able to walk on a sandy beach every day, it would be a dream come true. Thanks for sharing.

A well caught wave-break. Sometimes it is difficult to get just the right second to click the shutter. I love the motion of the sea and it has always intrigued me. Also I love to hear the waves crashing on the rocks or beach. A simple but effective image. Take care Kat.

Hi Kat,
Wow! You are so fortunate to live by the beach. I think if I did, I'd be out there collecting shells, too, heck, I'd have a house built out of shells and hot glue. ;P
Thanks for sharing your morning.
Richard

Hi Kathleen, I love those nature pictures. Almost as good as the real thing. Very nicely taken this one !

Hello Katleen...I like the pastel tones on the photo...Sharpness is also great...The waves seems giant and strong...Thank you for sharing...

Wow! How beautiful! Could this be called a "Tsami-ette"? You caught it just right and I bet you got wet in the process! Your descriptions add animation and life to the scenes you post. Thanks again for your ongoing education and entertainment.

It's funny, you see sunrises on the Atlantic, I can only see sunsets on the Northsea, where I live, but we have the same waves:-))
A nice one here, full of action and power, always a great sound when one's coming to the beach and again, and again.....
Good shot for today !

Your living my dream Kat. To live by the sea must be so special if only I could make this happen. But who knows what the future may bring. A marvellous composition displaying the power of the waves. Great capture as usual thanks for sharing.

(S)hell of a shot, Kat ;o). What a beautiful wave you've captured... Must be very relaxing to walk there that early in the morning. I'll try to bring some shots of the other side of the Atlantic in August, when we go to Bretagne. TFS.

Wow, this time you had me going for about three minutes before I spotted the heart. Don't get any better at hiding it, Kat, or I'll go nuts next time. We have this kind of breakers by our summerhouse south of Copenhagen as well. We'll go there for two weeks in June. Looking forward to it already.
(I just had an idea - maybe you could start putting that little sandpiper into your pictures - in this one he would have been just fine.)

I like the wave action and the way that the light is reflected off the water spray and the wet sand.

My wife and I went to the Oregon Coast last week and enjoyed some beautiful scenery on the Pacific Ocean. You have a nice shot here! God's best,

Tim
