[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Each evening, while I was at the Clinic, I would walk along the shores of the Great Atlantic Ocean to calm my thoughts and enjoy the majestic ocean. I also thought of my friends on the other side of this ocean...
Each evening I was joined by this SandPiper. He would walk with me and he became my friend. I wonder if he walks alone now and misses me as much as I miss him?
****************************************

He also joined me for my morning walks and I have already posted that photo.

I decided to try something entirely different (for me at least) on this post.
1. Cropped original photo
2. performed .Jpeg cleanup
3. Used Unsharp Masking tool for sharpening
4. Resized in 4 steps
5. Applied Semi-Sepia tone filter
6. Using the Colorizing tool, I selected colors from the colorwheel and selecting different size paintbrushes I hand painted this photo using the coloring effect.
7. Applied soft edge filter, frame and logo.

This is my first attempt at this and my "first issue" :O)(And probably my last)

Stop by and visit me in my little corner and let me know if you like it or if you don't! I value your opinion and enjoy your visits...... :O)

Very interesting result - TFS. Resize in 4 steps- what do you mean by that and the reason? Sorry, but new at pp work. Thanks. Tim

Excelent work, Kathleen.
You did well with this one and the composition is good.
My nit pic is, I would have gone with the full monty reflection of the bird.

BTW, your friend did you proud with your portrait, my compliments.

Mike

A relative? Could be that he senses some kinship here! A beautiful start at the new venture of color modification. So many things can be doen in digital photography. That is what makes it so appealing to so many. Keep up your endeavors!

Nice pp effect Kat! Always enjoy your creativity and great note-writing abilities.

God's best,

Tim

This is your first attempt at what? Well, whatever it is, it works. The overall impression is one of great serenity and true natural beauty. And the bird, although small, is the central figure in that particular universe. So you definitely did the right thing. And it certainly appeals to the photo painter in me.

You'll never walk alone, but we'll miss you here on TREKLENS

Love Gideon
