Very nice Kat. What a sad thought you described in your note but all too often the case with the unexpected passing of a loved one. Thanks for sharing and as always, God's best!

Hi Kathleen, the light you catched is wonderful, I like the two people on the left. Good framing.
Thanks for such a beautiful note,
Iris
Before I read your note, I hadn't noticed the cross - I thought it was a child. And it's a habit I hadn't heard of, until tonight. Another thing learnt, I can go to bed now ;o). Nice compo and excellent colours, Kat. I get a morning feeling looking at it. Don't know if that's good or bad yet... I'll tell you tomorrow LOL. TFS.
I like your shot here. It brings back good memories of running down these planks going to the beach. Nice shot, and I like the border.
The pastels warm this lovely scene to exactly fit the mood you describe. Nice one Kathleen, B

Hi Kathleen
This is a beautiful mood shot. Someone should write a poem to accompany it.

Excellent perspective and depth to your shot Kat. I also love the lighting and the reflection of the railing.
I good view of a long warm wood road to the beach! Cool! The view look so rich!
Kathleen, you just don't realize how many people you've touched. Me especially. Love the photo. You're walkway goes on forever, just like the memory of those who have passed before us. Great work here.

A huge picture with a very nice perspective to the sea including this tiny little scene of the man and the cross and that's a fine detail in this total. Your note fits well with this "telling" picture, I like the combination, dear friend...
Merhaba Kathleen...Excellent work...I have been impressed by the warm tones and the perspective captured...Thank you for sharing...

This is a beautiful picture that accompanies your story Kat. I love the long perspective of the boardwalk, which leads the eye to the golden sunrise. The person and the crossed placed perfectly in the composition. As for suggestions for the sky, I don't have any. Sometimes when there's not much colour detail, I find it best just to leave it that way.
I'll come back for points tomorrow.

Thank you for such wonderful moment. I have always said that photos are a way of expressing feelings. You have a "10" here with this one.
Kathleen, everyday before I go to work and when I return home I hug my loved ones, and prey for those who have departed from our world. Thanks for the photo...it is indeed a touching one!!!

A beautiful shot with a melancholy feeling to it, which the sepia colouring really lends itself to. The note is very touching and I think your image depicts the feelings exactly. Very nice composition and note.

Your beautiful note made me appreciate the picture more. I like the changing levels of the boardwalk and railing. Off to one side in a very subtle way is the subject. Unusual framing but effective picture. nice work Kathleen!

2nd try Kat, closed this compsing window halfway yesterday.
17 februari 2005 we lost our dearest friend Zammys, a beautifull 15 years old cat and maybe the best friend we ever had. How we loved and still love that little guy, and how much he still loves us. We are still fighting and sharing our tears. He went to another world, the very same day a new life would be possible.
We thought we did things right, we tried so very hard, right up to the end. Still we feel a huge emptiness, no more meows, purs and that peacefull look in his eyes, only in our thoughts. So, we spend time to talk about how it was, how it feels now, how the memmory of Zammys makes us feel now. We talk a lot, the three of us, Zammys said "If you need me I'm here, in the middle of your hart. If you take the time to look you can see me, almost touch me, hear me. You've done right, I'm very happy, I want you to be happy, please do that for me. No "should have", let's -do- things, together, and we'll make a better day tomorrow. It could be never to late...
Thanks for the note Kat, you finally started me writing. I must let you know how greatfull I am.
I see you flying in front of me.

Kat, this is a beautiful capture! Well composed and POV leading into the horizon with the mourner off into the distance...
Just that alone speaks volumes...
Thank you for being so accepting of all of us at TL and allowing us into your life with your touching and heartfelt images.
You are truly one of God's miracles.
