| I walked down to the bridge near my home to play around with my new camera. I was taken pictures of the marsh and noticed some white specs in a tree over a private dock and using the 10x optical zoom realized that they were nesting birds. I don't know the species and only resized and adjusted the contrast and color |

Egretta Thula i think (about 60 cm). Its a nice picture, pleasant to see with all those birds in the trees - and they are not common i guess.
These birds look like what we call Egrets and they are very common in the South around the lakes and rivers...but just guessing. I am an ameteur here, struggling to learn, so welcome to the TL club. You will find a warm and friendly enviorment here and helpful folks willing to share their excellent knowledge with you. Very good first post!
