You Are My Strong Tower

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Our plane had been pulled off the runway at Miami International Airport for “mechanical difficulties,” and we had been sitting there for about an hour when I saw the sunset in this position. I scrambled for the camera, and then angled for a shot.
Since the plane window was not glass, but some kind of plexiglass, the smudges on it would not clear. Editing, I had to rotate 5 degrees to get a level horizon, and increased the contrast considerably to do away with most of the window smudges that showed up in the sky. Increasing the midtones helped hide the reflections in the foreground, but not completely. I had an interestesting effect by lowering the midtones (maybe a Workshop project?), but preferred this effect for now, a variation of the typical inspirational lighthouse theme.
The scene outside the window seemed a promise of safety, and we breathed a sigh of relief when we were shortly declared safe for take-off. The title of the photo is based on Psalm 61:3. |

Hi Karen,
Very good composition! It lacks a bit of contrast though. I've posted a workshop...
Best regards,
Allan
Hi Karen! Belated welcome to TL! You did a good crop, going with a long format and positioning the towers just at the right place. Job well done!

Very nicely composed picture, Karen, and good PP work to hide the smudge...you could also have tried to clone them out but it might have been more work. I like the colours you have obtained. Well done!
Hi Karen...
When I saw the title something was moved deep in me. Thank you for remain me this verse.
