[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I've been wanting to do a B&W photo, and had a version of this, but Parrots deserve color. I like the red-head. :) These parrots were in Animal Kingdom in Disney.

Parrots, also known as psittacines are birds of the roughly 372 species in 86 genera that make up the order Psittaciformes, found in most warm and tropical regions. The order is subdivded in three families: the Psittacidae ('true' parrots), the Cacatuidae (cockatoos) and the Nestoridae (New Zealand parrots).

Hope you have a great hump day!

hello Dennis .. this is nice shot with great composition .. yes you have right to choose color version ,lovely vivid colors.. well done and have a nice day ....best regards harout.

Hello :)
i think when you see my critique is like when you see a black cat, anyway today i am in Trouble Members Group so i will understand you :)))
you need sharpness and reduce a little the exposure
and a simple frame was perfect
and if you really want something in B&W you can desaturated the BG and let just the parrots
Cheers my friend

Hi Dennis,

I agree with you that parrots should remain in color. As Oana mentioned, the birds should be a little sharper. Have you tried single point focus? I find that makes all the difference in the world in getting sharper pictures. See page 56 of the D90 manual. I always try to focus on the eye when possible. Since this is an older photo, you may already be doing that?

Have a good day.

Werner

Hi Dennis,

Another beautiful image. Excellent color and again a special presentation. My congratulations.
Greetings from Germany,

Dennis, this fits your images that you present in your genre gallery. You have done a great job in your post editing to make this image as a part of your gallery. Congrats on that part of your portfolio.

Hi Dennis,
Great PP work on this but I think the parrots could be a little sharper - but that's just me being picky. This looks like a great watercolour , good DoF used and fantastic colours and framing effect. TFS
