Steaming into Port
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| Pictured is the P&O Nedlloyd container ship, "Jervis Bay" heading into the Port of Savannah in Georgia. She is sailing upriver along the Savannah River, just past the historic River Street area of the city. It may not look it, but the river is wide enough for two ships to pass each other. The bridge in the background connects Georgia with South Carolina to the north and replaced a smaller bridge which prevented the taller ships to pass. |

Hi Robert
Good exposure and Depth of Field. Inclusion of people in bottom left corner adds scale. She looks high in the water, if it wasn't for the bridge in background you would think she was leaving Felixstowe UK just 12 miles down the road from my home LOL.

Hello Robert !
Another nice shot Robert. The river is so narrow , and the ship is so big, you could not take it when she passed on your side.
Good composition and POV. It is too bad the post is hiding the tug boat at bit. May be by extending your arms, you could have managed to avoid that. The bird is also a plus in your composition. Informative note Robert.
I posted a WS. Hope you will like it.
Cheers!
Robert

Hello Bob,
Nice shot of the huge ship. Workshop editor used too much saturation on his stuff, I rather prefer the original photo.
