You can't live in Louisville, or anywhere in Kentucky, without going to Churchill Downs, the most famous race track in the world and host of the one and only "Kentucky Derby". This action shot was during a regular race during the week before the KY Derby. I was trying to figure out a good position to make the best shot for the KY Oaks. Unfortunately I picked a Judge's stand on the fourth turn that was a no-no and out of bounds for photographers during the bigger races. Oh well, I liked this shot and angle. Thanks for viewing.

Great point of view and timing on this image. I really like getting the chance to see these older film images on TL. A great piece of history. I've always felt that older photographs become even better over time.
Hi Joe..nice action shot...I took some shots at the race track and didn't do nearly as well as you did...great work.

Nice action shot and good quality scan Joe. Looks good in B&W!! Heck - this was before I was born LOL....
Nice to see a few older film shots.
Cheers
