[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was taking my puppy for his morning walk along the lakefront in Kenner, Louisiana and saw this sunrise. I had to try to capture it.

These power line cross Lake Ponchartrain which is 25 miles wide. This is the same lake which flooded New Orleans but I like to see it in this state...tranquil not threatening.
I cropped, adjusted the colors and contrast to darken it and make it moody. Then I added the frame.

Excellent sunrise. Lovely gradients on the horizon up to the sky. I like the composition with the power lines, it draws the eyes to look diagonally. Great shot.

Well done Fran. This works well for me!

I like the contrasts of the man-made power and the looming power of nature.
