Okay Folks...I'm baaaaack!!! I have a new camera so go easy on me!!! I am not quite used to it yet, I am walking around with the manual in hand practicing. I hope I can figure out all the settings and lens with this camera! I hope you enjoy the rose!

A rose is a flowering shrub of the genus Rosa, and the flower of this shrub. There are more than a hundred species of wild roses, all from the northern hemisphere and mostly from temperate regions. The species form a group of generally prickly shrubs or climbers, and sometimes trailing plants, reaching 2–5 m tall, rarely reaching as high as 20 m by climbing over other plants.

The name originates from Latin rosa, borrowed through Oscan from colonial Greek in southern Italy: rhodon (Aeolic form: wrodon), from Aramaic wurrdā, from Assyrian wurtinnu, from Old Iranian *warda (cf. Avestan warda, Sogdian ward, Parthian wâr).

Ooops!!! Got to get in the swing of things here, forgot the tech talk!

NONE just resized and framed a bit! The wonders of a new camera!!! Yipeee!
Thanks for stopping by...
Fran

Good afternoon Mrs. King
Congratulation with the aquisition of the new E-500. We have been waiting impatiently for this moment. Today at 1.20 pm it is minus 14°c, and you present us this beautiful and very colorful photo of a WILD rose that you photographed last friday.....last friday here was -24°c. The only rose I could get a shot of is one of my neighbours plastic one. Good pic Fran hope you like your new camera, I'm sure you will love the SLR's through the lens viewing. See you soon.

Paul

Hi Fran... Great to see you back on TL..with a colourful flower, and learning your new camera..I know what its like.. as I got a new one in Sept last year...still lots I dont know about it... hate reading dem manuals!..

Your flower I think needs just a bit more focus for perfection...but keep on trying.

Ive become useless at sending emails... and dont get alot of time to always critque.. but I try my best... but its good to see your ever humourous and bubbly nature on here.

Take care.
Dawn.

I have never seen such flower before
TFS

Shriek hoot etc, becomming the phrase for me. Wasnt David that sugested, oh so sweetly, to read the manual was it, I finally read mine and he nearly choked laughing. Mind you I had only owned it for nearly a year by then, hohum.
I love the multi coloured roses, great when you cant decide what colour you want.
