[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
After the lovely birthday photo from David (Refugee, thank you again!) I searched my files for one of my own depicting how I feel and look! Like the elephant I have a realllllllllly long memory, some frown lines, laugh lines and other earned wrinkles and as I have learned your ears and nose continue to grow so I figure soon I will resemble my friend here.

I too am a candidate for botox!

Botox Injections
The cosmetic form of botulinum toxin, often referred to by its product name Botox®, is a popular non-surgical injection that temporarily reduces or eliminates frown lines, forehead creases, crows feet near the eyes and thick bands in the neck. The toxin blocks the nerve impulses, temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause wrinkles while giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance. Studies have also suggested that Botox is effective in relieving migraine headaches, excessive sweating and muscle spasms in the neck and eyes.

It is sold commercially under the brand names Botox and Dysport for this purpose. The terms Botox and Dysport are trade names and are not used generically to describe the neurotoxins produced by clostridia species. It is one of the most poisonous naturally occurring substances in the world. Though it is highly toxic, it is used in minute doses both to treat painful muscle spasms, and as a cosmetic treatment in some parts of the world. Botulin toxin produced by Clostridium botulinum is often believed to be a potential bioweapon as it is so potent that it takes less than 1 microgram to kill a person, a drop could kill 100,000 people, and 1 pound of it can kill the entire human population, though contact is uncommon.

Notable species of this Class include;

Clostridium perfringens (Gangrene,Food Poisoning)
Clostridium difficile (Colitis)
Clostridium tetani (Tetanus)
Clostridium botulinum (Botulism)

Now that we are all deeply depressed I'll thank you for your visit!!! Come back soon to cheer me up!
Fran

Hi Fran,
Very funny title and an equally interesting/explanatory note. This is a very nice shot - the colors, the sharpness and the detail are very nice.

But does it take weight off tooooooooo???

Cheers for the laugh

Hi Fran,

Definitely this elephan is candidate for Botox. Something new for me about Botox.
Very sharp image.

Thank you for sharing the note which is useful.

Cheers,
Tjutjut

Bonjour Fran
Wow! very very crisp image and excellent details of the skin. I think this guy may be beyond butox. Good technique for the composition of the image with the subject filling more than the whole picture, makes him appear even larger than life. Well done presentation.

Paul

I comb my hair back and make a very tight pony tail the wrinkles simply all disappear, no need for butox. (°U*)

Long memory, hmmm I will have to watch what I say. I think a good cleansing agent may be in order for the pachyderm too Fran...not you :). Excellent capture showing warts and all. below all the wrinkles they are a beautiful beast. Well done and TFS,
David

Hello Fran, Oh, yes...he need botox in gallons! LOL.

First of the photo. I love elephants, especially the baby ones. So this one is cute and nicely captured. This is sad what you give information in note.

No, I'm not at all in favor of botox, b/c I believe wrinkles are beautiful.

Oh dear Fran....Botox...hehe...do I need too?

No, serious, lovely photo and note to take very serious. Quick Hi.

Bye, John T

Hi Fran,
Isn't it amazing what we humans do to ourselves on purpose? I keep wondering what all those tattoos and piercings are going to look like in 20-30 years. Getting back to your girl, here, it's a remarkably sharp shot with great detail, and what an expression!
Great note as well.
Thanks for the interesting post!
All the best,
Karen
