I was visiting the lakefront to watch the rolling waves crash against the seawall and this gull was just floating on the brisk breezes.
He came from my left to right...floating backwards as the winds pushed him, I guess that is the only way they work in reverse!
I used a very fast shutter speed to freeze him in action, set my ISO low because it was very very bright sunlight and my 40-150mm lens for a closer look.
Have a great day photo hunting!
Fran

Hello Sugar Bear!! Good to see you here again Fran.
Not easy to do, but you have caught this flying bird well. He looks like he's suspended in the sky. And doesn't the blue sky show up well,
Good job my friend
Janice

Hey Franny
Trust me when I say : A darn good job, specialy when I read 40-150 mm..
That is short .. we can expect a good result like this from a 300 mm 0r 400 lens
So Double compliments!
Smiles
John

Hi Fran, you captured the bird in flight very well with its wings wide open, filling the whole image!
Very well done and vivid colours.

Cheers, Yan :)

Bonjour Fran
Excellent action pic with a good exposure. Not easy do get a sharp
and well composed photo of birds in flight. Wonder if he was aiming
you with a little surprise, you know how birds react to your presence! (°U°)

Hi Fran, sorry I have been (still am) taking a break. Excellent colour and detail and the tiniest bit of blur around the wings works so well. TFS,
David
