[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken on the property of a beautiful Bed and Breakfast near Annapolis, MD this past weekend.
The sun was just setting behind me as the moon was rising over the Bay.
The setting sunlight on the tree and the moon over the dusky colors of the sky over the Chesapeake Bay were really eye catching.
Shot in RAW, aperture preferred, converted to jpeg.
Enhanced slightly to bring out some of the more subtle tones and cropped just a little to keep focus lines, reduced noise a bit with Neat Image.
Sharpened, resized and framed for posting here.

Hi Wilt,
An attractive image, good soft colours. Two remarks, the sky has quite some noise (easely to remove with photofiltre) secondly teh horizon isn't level. Anyweay I like the picture.
Hans

nice tones, nice simple compo, even noisy
regards
jo

hello Wilt

Great color of the sky for this shot to show blue sea and a handsome tree in vertical composition. The moon is small but its presence gives a nice touch.

Hi Wilt,

First I heard of Chesapeake Bay was when reading a book by James A Michener. After that one followed many more by the same author....

So this is how it looks out there with the moon on the rise and the soft colours in the sky. Don't even know how to pronounce it, do know where to find it.

Lovely picture to share,

Thanks

Els

PS I have no WS left for the day, but I made a WS in Neat Image and I think you can just turn up the levels a bit more then you did to get a neat and clean sky...

Love shots like this! I always try to see if I can be someplace grand when the moon is doing this! Nice straight horizon line! A litte noisey still, but that can be removed easy!

Tilt aside Wilt I don't mind the noise. I think with the exposure settings a lower ISO may have helped with teh sky. Lovely colours, well composed and good detail. TFS,
David

Many thanks for your comment on ‘Autumn Fog’
