| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
While staying over night on a WW II submarine, Torsk, in the Baltimore Harbor, I had the chance to play with multiple flashes. It was 3 AM, so time and the areas were mine.
D200- 12-24 Nikon Lens. Trigger flash and white light fill; pop-up body flash. 2 Nikon SB-800 flash units set on "remote" were used and controled through D200 camera. Flash on left had blue gel and flash on right had red gel. I used 1x3 inch sample book gels that were a handout at comference. Last I used a small defusing cover over camera flash to help hide the shadow of the lens (lens is really wide and the flash is right above lens). A little burning on red area at right and bright metal at top. Also a little dodging on dark center area. I spot metered for open tube on right and then set f/stop 2 stops darker to keep tube detail with the small light inside tube. |
