No beautiful stage or costumes here; but maybe a beautiful moment just the same.

I caught this one driving through Baltimore . . .

PP work--cropped out the grocery store on the corner, and some blowing newspapers. Saturated the color slightly, and increased the magentas to counterbalance the blue-green tint from shooting through the windshield of the car.

Hi Karen,

very nice idea. Excellent moment capture, I only think it's a little too dark.

Hello Karen

The title sounds exactly like my sister’s story. This is the second photo in the gallery narrating my sister’s life; this must be her lucky day! There’s always a ray of sunshine!
I agree with Gio about the shot being dark, but it's a nice emotional capture, anyway.
Thanks for sharing,
Esperança

This is a good one Karen. I like your title. The architecture is good here too, and that makes this photo even better. Good catch and title. Sothy

nice composition.......tfs

Hi Karen, tall buildings, narrow streets and darkness will be inevitable, on my LCD perfectly acceptable. Well seen and taken and very good PP work with the colours. TFS,
David

Many thanks for your comment on ‘Windeward Reflections I’

What is it matter where, if the state of mind sees a situation that goes with a memmory or feelings from the passed or present.
The link between Shakespear and this 'balconi' situation is present ;-) Good finding
Bye bye

Hi Karen,

Wonderful moment that you recognized and captured well. I agree that it is a bit dark .. I love how the building angles into the frame .. I love how they contrast with the bit of urban decay around them.

take care,

John

Hello Karen,
Back street Shakespeare!
And I don't think he is singing love ballads, it is more like gimme some money!
Moment is well captured, leaves room for interepretations... Maybe a tad dark?
Greetings,

LOL -- well I don't know about the air conditioner part, but I'll buy the rest of it :) Apt title and way to be in the right place at the right time -- and be quick on the shutter button. Well framed and composed, Karen. Simple, yet it tells a story, just as it should. Sounds like your cropping was very wise. The rest would have been a distraction.

I love this so much!!! I'm from Baltimore, and this picture is really unique I think. I love your title to it, it really brought a new meaning to the shot, and definatley revamped an old story. And I understand shooting out car windows; there's nothing as agrivating as having to keep driving past a good photo oppurtunity! Great job though!
