[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This shot was taken last spring at my niece's graduation . . . she had just stepped down from the platform after receiving her diploma, and not until downloading the photos did I realize that I had caught her about to steal a handshake with a young man of whom she is very fond.


PP work--increased midtones (+50) to lighten the shot, cropped to the dimensions of the golden rectangle (1 x 1.618), and attempted to place the hands using the rule of thirds as much as seemed reasonable in the composition.

Good thing you kept the DoF rather shallow, Karen. I see you use Φ in your pictures, will have to try that too. The red/blue/white togas are a nice touch. Is that your niece standing up?
