| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is a praying mantis that I found on the screen on my window.
Praying mantids (plural for mantis) are bugs that eat other insects. They don't eat plants because they are carnivores. Their predators are monkeys, birds, frogs, spiders, and snakes. They can live almost anywhere in the world that has mild winters and a lot of plants so that they can camouflage.
Cropped, resized, and I cloned out some spots on that were on the screen. |
