This is the other side of the spider I posted a few weeks ago. It looks completely different from the top. This is a close crop and had a bit of graininess/noise that I used Neat Image to clean up. Since I'm using the free version, the EXIF data was removed. I've posted what I could extract below.

Device maker: NIKON CORPORATION
Device model: NIKON D90
Software: GIMP 2.6.6
ISO level: 400
Sharpness: 3
High ISO NR: Off
Exposure time: 1/100 sec
White balance: Default

Thanks for viewing and hope everyone's having a good day.

Hi Werner,

So I guess this is the bottom side; it's just as ugly as the top....but not because of your photography skills. :) I'm afraid that I would have killed it before I had time to take a picture of it's belly. I'm a tree hugger, but do not want to hug a spider. He's ugly, but well documented so, by your capture. :)

Later,
Dennis

Hi Werner,
Great spotting, the shallow DOF has worked well. I have to be completely honest though and mention the lack of sharpness, in my opinion it has the potential to be a lot sharper. Perhaps manual focus would have come in handy. The shutter speed could have been slightly faster too so it doesn't look washed out.

It does look like you've managed the grain well though. I highly recommend using a program called Helicon Filter - You can download the free trial but it won't let you save it after editing (unless you buy the full version). I decided to buy the full version online last week as it's the best noise removal program I've used so far.

TFS,
Scott.

Hi Werner

Missed this one. A little soft, but still with adequate sharpness on the spider. Good color, saturation & lighting. Tfs!
