This child was playing on the swing set. Just prior to this he was swinging high with his dad pushing him pretending he was superman.

I'm trying to work on potrait shots, so anything you can critique on this shot would help greatly to know how I can take better portraits.

I think it would be a wonderful portrait if the camera had focused on his face and not the background. I don't know if your camera works this way, but you hold the button down half way and it will automatically focus. Lovely image!
