Just a macro shot of a daylily in my backyard. I thought it looked pretty. I adjusted the levels a little to make the petals look as dark as they really are.

Hi Derrick

A superb macro shot, with excellent color & saturation. Good sharpness & shallow dof. I like the green -vs- magenta color contrast. Well done!

Great macro! What unusually dark petals this one has, nice job Derrick!

What an unusual color, I love this dark lily, you've captured it well, nice placement in the frame, I love the blurry background too. Well done.

Hi Derrick...Another lovely lily! This one is especially beautiful as the center appears to be on fire, it glows so brightly. Love the contrast of colors. Weren't we lucky the hurricane changed courses at the very last minute before landfall?? Whew! .....:O)

Hoi Derrick; I like it as you say that you adjusted the levels to make them as dark as they really are. That saturation'button' is so tempting; sometimes we try to improve to much, just because the bright colours are conform fashion. I'm just starting with this hobby and find it difficult to keep it within bounds.
Now your picture: the meal of the stamen is falling on my desk here. The flower is like touchable; I like especially the changing in the petals from purple to yellow. Great shot, just from your garden!

Hi Derrick,
Very good shot, sharp and interesting colors (unreal as you says, but beautiful).
Good POV and BG
Greetings
Raimundo
