[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The center of Hurricane Katrina passed through the middle of my town at 1:00 p.m. with wind speeds of around 120mph, with wind gusts at 140. Here is a gas station that lost it's roof. It was still open. Looking at the sky, it's always amazing how beautiful the weather is after such destruction passes through.

Hi Derrick

A good daily life scene, with excellent color & sharpness. I'm glad you're ok after the storm. The roof can always be replaced.

Après la pluie le beau temps !

Derrick,

Even if it seems the end of the world when you are living these darkest events yourself, better days will always follows.

Hope you are all Ok at your place, and will get back to a normal life soon.

PS. Strange to note, the next door station roof seems to be intact.

TFS,

Robert

Hey Derrick,
Good photojournalism there. I meant to get some after the hurricane pics in our area but didn't get around to it.

I would have stepped 5 feet to the left to crop out those poles.

Thanks for sharing and I'm really glad you're OK.

Alli

Back to business already... Amazing
It shows the resiliency of small towns, after the damage pick up the pieces when you can and carry on.
