| The center of Hurricane Katrina passed through my town at 1:00 p.m. with sustained winds of 120 mph. This picture was taken in my yard of two trees that were snapped off just above head level. It was the day after the hurricane, it was amazing how beautiful the weather was when there was so much destruction from the storm the day before. |

Hi Derrick
Last time I looked, Rita was down to 897 mb, with sustained winds of 175 mph! 1,300,000 people have been evacuated in TX & LA.
An appropriate title for this image. Good graphism & sharpness, & an excellent photojournalistic shot. Well done!

I am glad you are alright and healthy. Katrina was very destructive indeed. Good photo of Katrina's aftermath.

A majestic prove of this great violence you are involved. Great wide view from below and indeed snapped like a match.
