This is another view of the 'back 40' of the Biltmoor accessible by horseback ride. I first posted (long ago) another view and this is the view as you close in with the pretty rockwork. Personally, I like it better than the Biltmoor--nice place to visit, but wouldn't want to live there :). Could you imagine just the housecleaning each day you'd have? Laundry? :)

PP--I was going to darken and contrast a bit, but lost too much detail in the cabin, so I just left it, cropped it and resharpened. I adjusted tone up just a bit to enhance the green some.

I have one other view with a slight flaw, but I used it in Powerpoint, so it's one that people like.

These old houses and buildings, they're always interesting, with lot of stories held within.

As for the picture itself, it's very fine over here. I guess that it varies from computer to another and from screens too.

I also like your composition, very nicely put.

By the way, what was the use for the rockwork ? some kind of well ?

Lovely colors in this shot Gary. Nice structures in these old buildings. Sharp in the details and a good comp.

Good geometry but slight overexposed; I think it works better in sepia.

A nice view - typifies the Old USA for me (well the version I was given by Hollywood, I suppose). Good cool colours. James

The point of view is okay. May be you need to increase the contrast a little bit... (my humble opinion)
