[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hickory Nut Falls in Chimney Rock Park has a drop of 404 feet and is one of the highest waterfalls east of the Mississippi River. The last 17 minutes of the 1992 film, The Last of the Mohicans, was filmed in the park. It is said that some of the most dramatic scenes from this film were those filmed at the top of the Hickory Nut Falls.
Obviously this photo shows only a small part of the waterfall.
Photo largely as taken, with border added.
