This is a hiking stick that I burned for a dear friend of my wife. All the letters are written in Rune. Wasn't quite finished with it when I took this pic. You can still see some pencil marks what were sanded clean. The glass egg made the stick very top heavy. I used a number4 bare copper wire to wrap tightly around the bottom 4 inches of the stick and it balances perfectly at the grips. I did maybe 60 before I started signing, dating and numbering. My next one will be number 194. This one is 117.
The tree is actually a huge hedge row running down the side of my yard, (Chinese Elm?)
Taken with the Nikon EL-2, 50mm Nikkor lens, Portra 400 film, F/stop 2.8 shutter speed was auto. Backgroung smudged, sized and cropped in Photoshop7.0
