I met Karen (my wife) when I was 14 and she was 8. I was working the Muscular Dystrophy Summer Camp and she was a bubbly little redhead. Several years later, at the same summercamp I gave her her first REAL kiss. In my wedding vowes to her I promised her that I'd be there to give her her last one also. Two years after we were married, we planted a big bag of assorted Tulips and this is the only one that bloomed...It's a FIRST KISS!
In some regards she's the toughest person I have ever met, never bitter about not being able to walk. I can bench press 300 but I still feel she's a stronger person (diff reasons). I have known her for 29 years now, and my heart still skips when she smiles at me. She makes me a better person.
When she was 12, she told me she was 16 (little fibber!) so she could get the kiss, didnt come clean on the age thing for a long time!!
Sized for upload.
Anyway, Karen...this is for you m'princess. |

What a lovely testimony to your wife. Great photo, too! Well seen, and thanks for sharing the story of meeting her.
Hi Randy, great photo to go with the love story between you and your spouse. This tulip must be very special to you guys.

Hi Randy,
This is a very nice photo of this flower. I like the composition with the position of the flower and the opening toward the top left. Very well done with superb colors and sharpness.
Luc
A beautiful tribute to a beautiful love story. You two should be proud. In this day of mediocracy, a relationship like this is very rare. BTW, I have been married to my "first wife" for 44 years as of December.

A really strong note you wrote Randy. I wonder how Karen looked when she red this, I'm sure she would give you a huge kiss. Full of tenderness and love, just like your note, just like your photo. See you again, Richard
