Sorry for another sappy story, but it's really not sad. My neighborhood lost a cat this week, but he led a great life for a tom - almost 10 years - and did it exactly how he wanted to. My wife rescued him from the pound, so it was ALL good as far as he was concerned! As he got older, he loathed going inside in warm weather, as he would get stiff in the air conditioning. But despite his most recent care-taker's best efforts, heat-stroke got him on Thursday. Everybody on the block knew him. Some shooed him, some fed him, some woke up with him standing on their beds in the mornings! He was fearless to a fault, and I guess it took a village to raise him. He made is mark...on my arms, in some walls, on more than one tree...
;-D Cat was a character, for sure, and we are all glad he went out the way he wanted.

Added frame (increased canvas size 1" all around, used eye dropper to get colors from cat's face, filled with dark brown, used line tool for blue), cropped & sized in Photoshop.

Oh this boy was a hearbreaker, wasn't he? Gorgeous. Nicely composed and nice POV. May he forever satisfy his instincts in that great cattery in the sky.

You were lucky Randy he never got to the old tom look, battered coat etc.As you said 10 years is very good for a tom,he will be missed by quite a few I think.Diane
