[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is my friend Debra. She was in the nursing program in college with my fiance and is a fellow photographer. She asked that I shoot her wedding even though I had never officially done one before; I have just taken candids at other weddings for fun. Even though I wasn't so sure I could do it she had confidence in me and I felt good about the results.

In two days in took over 700 photos and for some reason this was one of my favorites. The composition is a little odd and the crop is a little tight but I loved her expression and the lines of the wood behind her. Check out my gallery for my other favorite photo from the event called "shamus".

Shot in RAW/NEF and processed in Nikon's ViewNX. Cropped and added white frame in Photoshop Elements 6. Comment, critiques and workshops always welcome; thanks for looking.

Jeff, a lovely photo - it's clear and very natural! To me her hands stand out as really red and sore and detract from her natural smile. This photo has a lot going for it - well done

Hi Jeff
I have to say this almost works. The bride is beautiful, as is the light and setting, and I can understand why it's one of your favourites, but to the casual viewer I don't think there is any getting past the bad composition. To have lost part of her face, shoulder and arm really does spoil the photo.

I'd definitely look forward to some of the other 700, Jeff, believe me. Good idea, bad compo. TFS Don't let something like this skew your good photographic sense.
