[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is my niece Alexandra. She is 8 years old but I keep thinking she is still 4. I remember when she was born and I realized why people cry when babies are born. She is such a smart and loving girl and she has the cutest freckles! I love taking photos of her because she loves the camera and always looks so sweet.

I cropped, adjusted brightness and sharpness, changed to b&w and prepared for the web.

My daughter has freckles and shocking red hair. She thinks its a curse but like you I think its wonderful, as with your image.

Very lively portrait, Jennifer. Tilted head works very well here to express the child ingenuousness. Just a personal trick: flash has the tendency to flatten the contours, but perhaps this was just a snapshot. If your model has patience, you can do without flash, using natural light coming from a window, and play with more contrast possibilities on the face. It's useful to make several trials in front of the window, with subject changing it's orientation. If light is a bit low, use a tripod or place your camera on a stable surface. Sure your cute niece will be a perfect model for that.

Nice tight portrait. Highlights the emotion.

Wonderful photo, Jenny! This works very well in b&w. I think you've done a great job evoking the innocence and sheer joy of childhood. Well done.

I like the angle of this picture. A good model in fact, with that tender smile (she makes me remember my daughter)
