| Another of my Charleston cloudy day photos. This section of Charleston was built in the 1700s, old by American standards. The entire area is very tidy and neat, and these shutters had obviously been repainted recently. I liked the contrast of black & white against the red brick and greenery. The sidewalks in this area are so narrow that only one person can walk on them at a time, if you need to pass someone you must get out in the gutter! |

It's a neat perspective shot. I'm suprised you've not gotten any critiques on this shot yet. I like it a lot. I particularly just like the shot down the sidewalk. I think it's a great shot Alli.
Hi Alli. Nice view on this wall. I like the details on the foreground. Your DOF is very wide. That's great too. I don't really understand how you get such a wide dof with f/2.8 ???
Anyway, great shot.
TFS.
Denis.
Wow, this is really pretty, Alli. I'd love to go to Charleston, but I can't get anyone else interested in going! It's a short drive for you, I guess.
The perspective is excellent, as are the colors and the contrasts. I love the greenery against the brick, and the shiny shutters, of course!
I would swear that I walked there.
I also like the look of the "black & white against the red brick." Too bad about those recently pruned tree limbs on the sidewalk. They make passing by even tighter.
According to the EXIF data, you hadn't zoomed much or any, so the DOF will appear deeper than it would have if you had zoomed.
