[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My grandson's birthday is the 18th of August, so that works outs pretty well to have a last hurrah before summer ends and school starts. So, for his birthday we went to Frankie's Fun Park and the two older boys had a grand battle in the bumper boats. They had great fun soaking each other with the water guns onboard. Well, until we went inside to the air-conditioned arcade and they were freezing their buns off. LOL I loved that evening light and the way it made the colors look. You can feel summer slipping away by the long shadows and how much earlier the light fades. Won't be long.

Yes, enjoying the summer days that soon will be over. It sure looks like they are having fun. I would not dare to take a photo in the evening, but you manage to capture very nice colors on this one. The trees seem a little bit to the right side, but, then I look to the wall and it is straight. Happy Birthday to your grandson. TFS

Yes, time is fleeting and summer is once again almost over. It looks like your grandson is having a grand time, ahhhh the joys of youth! Nicely composed shot and I like how you've frozen the water droplets from the fountain. I agree, the colors are wonderful. TFS

Hi Shelly,
You keep bringing back memories! :). Another ride I haven't been on in years. I like the tones from the early evening sun here, quite an array of colours too. You took the photo at just the right moment it seems, and frozen the action nicely with the 1/160s shutter speed (which has also worked wonders with the fountain). I like this one - Well photographed.

Very nicely captured, loved the joyful moment of kids.
Nice clarity and effective use of f/16.
Beautiful colors. They frozen fountain at the b/g looks good too :)

Man I KNOW I commented on this one! Where did it go?? That happens on occasion! I love the lower light here Shelly! Sometimes I think photos are just too obnoxiously bright, this has a nice evening tone to it! Nice work girl!
