I like how you've managed the lighting to highlight the colorful ones, while the rest of the photo is dark and a bit moody. Very effective positioning following the rule of thirds. Glad to hear your mom's photos are on their way to her.

Nice capture of this wilted branch from a correct angle. Excellent depth of field, colors, composition and contrast . The chiarascuro effect makes it look like a Genre painting of old masters.Cheers and TFS.

Fine chiaroscuro on this image. I adore this effect which renders so nicely the warm light of autumn before the calming down wintry. Excellent management of colors and sharpness.
The red leaf is effectively placed in the left third of the image. This is a true artistic photo! Bravo! Annie

This is just lovely with great play of light and shadow! The sharpness and POV are at their best with greatly managed DOF. The dark green BG colors give wonderful contrast to the light green leaves. the piercing light through the leaves, brings great mood into the composition.

You have played around in processing but have achieved a very natural look.
The darkened edges accentuate the light on the beautifully coloured leaves.
