[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
These mushrooms grow in and under the dark foliage of the rhododendron canopy on the edges where there is some light and it is still very damp from the protection of the rhodies. They are part of the Appalachian tapestry here that we enjoy yearly.

I didn't do anything but sharpen, the picture is as is, where is, no warranties, expressed or implied. :) Enjoy!

How not to enjoy these?
They're the fist signs that the fall is coming and we can do nothing about it.
Oh, well...The autumn can be so gorgeously charming.
cheers
george

It is that time of year again when the fungi come out. I posted a picture of a monster mushroom the size of my head on TN. The colours in these are lovely

Hi Gary,

Very nice picture. I like the color of the mushrooms. The blurry stone is not very good in the other hand. So, i would have tried to remove it by cropping it. But it's details. I like it. Good job.

Martin.

...or two for tea ;o).
I think cropping would enhance the subjects, Gary. IMO there's slightly too much negative space in the shot.
Anyway, the mushrooms are nicely sharp and that's what counts. You can check the use of flash when uploading the picture; not all TL'ers look at the photo info link ;o).
