Wood melts...do you believe?
 |

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I was in one of my favorite places for a hike and happened upon this tree when I went to the water to take a look around for some shots. Now you can believe wood melts? :) But it certainly looks like it. For real, I just loved the pattern on this exposure. I had just gotten my camera and was testing out and for this, the stock lens in macro mode worked very well with flash suppressed, I was pleased. This lends itself to some 'artsiness,' too, so I may do some of that later at home since we can only post a pic once here.
PP-nada, just a quick sharpen and sizing for TL. Too beautiful to touch so left as is. |

Hello Gary,
This is an original picture of nature's design. I like this texture and details. Have a happy New Year! Thanks,
Claudine
Your shot has many qualities, lots of color and textures. Lots of interesting things to draw the eye around the shot.
A little more clairy would have been nice but you did well for a test shot with a new camera.

Hi Gary,
I really do like the colors and textures in this shot. A wonderful find, your melted wood, and I like all the life that it is supporting as well.
All the best,
Karen
P.S. You could post your "artsy" shot to workshop to share with us.
There are so many different textures in this shot Gary,it is just up my street. There is such a range of colour too, it's great.
Regards Jean.
