Ok, TL'ers. I took your comments for the first shot of this 'gem in the draw' and applied them to see how it fared this time. So this is a bit of an experiment. ( HERE ) I took out the powerlines by cropping under them (actually, I didn't even see them--they were hidden until the camera 'revealed' them.) I usually try to shoot around, under, or behind them because they truly ARE distracting. Wish somebody would pass an ordnance banning overhead lines, myself and require them to be buried. I removed 'something blue' by cloning it out, as it didn't fit what I wanted this photo to represent. I 'moved' the subject closer to the upper and left third to some degree for a kind of 'downhill' or 'leading up to' look.

PP--sharpened, cropped, no color or brightness changes--as shot. This photo had a slightly different look than the other, I don't clearly remember changing anything unless it was an AE Bracketing job. The only thing different was the exposure time so that's what it must have been. It imparted a 'softer' look (regarding color) for some reason. Simple stock lens shot and a UV filter.

I like the simplicity of this shot - the various contrasts between the angles of the barn and the verdant greenery, the browns of the barn and the greens of the vegetation. The shot conveys peacefulness.

Gary
Your work was worth the result. The contrast of the shed in this sea of green is great. The setting seems so serene and off the beaten path.
