This is a picture of a bobcat on display in as natural a habitat as possible. I was just barely able to get the lens to get a clear shot of this beautiful (and resting) cat sunning herself and taking a nap. Even with this, you can see how the natural coloring makes them almost invisible to unwary prey. No, they don't prey on any humans! I had the privilege of only ever seeing one of these creatures at a house I was doing some carpentry at where I surprised one like it for a full sun-shot look as it quickly exited, but of course, no camera. They're almost never dangerous unless rabid, very furtive, and make a real strange mating cry so you hear them but never see them. I just love these creatures.

PP-crop and contrast some is all.

Nice shot, Gary. Bobcats are carnivorous animals which will hunt anything from insects and small rodents to large deer, but often show a preference for rabbits and hares. It is an excellent climber. Lucky of you to get this shot. Well done. :D
