[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was on a hike around a lake in a wildlife preserve and I saw these two deer almost right next to me. I was a bit startled and then they decided to stay as I was VERY quiet and slowly got my camera up for a 'shot.' This is what I got, hope you like it. I could almost have petted them!

PP-crop, size, and sharpen only, seemed good the way it was compo'd.

Next year, I'm hoping for some even better ones as I got an Opteka lense late this year for 1600 mm, tested it out my window, and seems to deliver good optics with a tripod and delayed shots.

Caught at the perfect moment! Makes us feel like we are there with the deer staring straight at us - a great opportunistic photo, well done!

Hi Gary
You've been blessed for 3 reasons: The presence of such gracious animals, thier nice posture and finally the burst of light at the right place!
Cheers.

Lovely nature shot - great skills in sneaking up on them and good presence of mind (and steadyness of hand) to take the shot!
Thanks for sharing

This is fantastic the composition couldn't have been better:) Boy I wish we had this sort of wild life running free here. I love this shot well done:)

Nana

Hey, what a beautiful picture! I love the composition with those trunks aside and the deer looking at you. What a lucky scene and perfectly achieved image. Congratulations and thank you very much for showing.

Hi Gary,
Wonderful job on this one! I see plenty of deer in my yard, but haven't been able to get "up close and personal".
These gals look like they are getting enough to eat, even if they are plagued by deer flies!
All the best,
karen

Hi Gary. Beautiful composition of these two deer. Your focus is good as are the colours. Great to have one eating and one watching you. We don't see deer like that here so a treat. Murray.

Hi Gary,
Great photo. I am surprised that they did not run away. We have deer in our yard, but they run away before I can even zoom in. I like how you caught one deer with its head down so that you can see the deer behind it. TFS
Mandie

Hi Gary,
Great caption! Excellent shot, crisp, colorful and I like the pov. Well done!
Thanks for sharing,
Fran

I saw all your responses and had to take a peek too!!! ;-)!

Hi Gary...
Very good shot of the a beautiful roes. The colours and light are great, and the contrast between the yellow and green tones, giving the photo a very nice effect. George
