[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On a subsequent trip to this wonderful nature preserve, I shot this. I didn't do a thing with it other than to size and crop as I liked the mood and feel and the coming summer to be! It was a perfect day! The blue sky creates a very unique color in this lake since it is so dark and unsullied by swimming and agitation.

Hope you enjoy it.

True the water has a lovely tranquil and still look to it, and I love the lighting used. Amazing how the colors came out so well. The detail and clarity is excellent. I feel like the composition is not very strong though since there is too much negative space at the upper left that distracts from the focus on the lily pads and flower buds. I would have cropped the left and top off to bring focus to the subjects and to create balance and continuity. Very nice shot though and good idea. TFS!

Greetings.

Hi Gary,
Great details and clarity in your picture. The composition is so serene. Lovely colours. I agree with Lara about the cropping - although in a bit different way - posted a workshop, hope you won't mind.

I admire the sharpness and clarity of this photo. The flowers and the leaves (are they lilies? I'm so ignorant) are really fit for a little frog-prince. I'm too old to believe in them, yet I might kiss one just in case! )))
