What do you mean, Tournesol, "Dog's Eye View"? Well simply that in my research of the perfect impromptu tripod, I have now tried the fire hydrant!

Shot last night on Beale Street, Memphis. I ended up going in the courtyard of that establishment to listen to very good blues. But don't think this is a leisure trip: in a few hours starts the real hard work!

PP Notes:
- Some cropping;
- Color corrected the sky that was way too white;
- Re-sized.

Enjoy!

HAHAHAHA!
Loved the tripod/hydrant story. NAext time you may try guard-rail, pedestrian lights(the puch here box), post box... I tried them all and they really work :D

Nice work Pierre! great evening atmosphere. Exp is on spot and the hydrant worked briliant!

Well done! Have fun in Memphis!

take care, Stef :))

Hi Pierre,
Great idea on the alternative-where-ever-you-will-find-them-tripod photo. I love the pinkisch tone in this photo, created by the exposure. When you have a change, go see the ducks in the famous hotel (sorry lost the name) and visit mudd island.

Regards,
Niek

love the angle, love the tones, quite different and interesting, a good comp, Pierre, wish you all the best, would love to know if you had some Gumbo? Lol, M, (*_*)

That what I call ingenuity, using the most unbelievable items as a tripod! The POV is fantastic and makes your image impressive. The nice mixed lighting and colors are moody and well captured.
Bravo!
Vassilis

Lovely colours and a good mix between daylight and neon :)

Not bad point of view from the fire hydrant! Re canopy, red brick, red signage and red hydrant? My eyes stopped at the word "Gumbo". I never had one for a years. Good picture Pierre. TFS.

A good perspective!
The red is the protagonist of this shot.
I like it.
