[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a door handle from one of the "hotels" we stayed in during our road trip. This one was by far the cruddiest one, but it is a road trip, and one must enjoy (endure?) anything... I took this picture, because it's just absurd. There is a chain yet nothing to hook the chain unto... and the lock in itself is a bit "iffy" as it needed to be jingled a bit... aaaah the adventure... I cropped the picture a bit, changed the mode to grayscale and added some noise to add to the overall effect. Any advice or comments very welcome.

I can see the absurdity in the situation as well. I've stayed in a few questionable establishments in my travels and this photo really illustrates one's feelings of, well, uncertainty.

I like that the greyscale gives the shot a voyeuristic/crime scene look. The slant of the "iffy" lock throws me off a little bit though (that may be the point), and I find the graininess slightly distracting, but overall I like it :)
