The Parthenon in Nashville from another angle. You can get an idea of how large this is by the people walking in front of it. Instead of a polarizer I used a skylight filter.

Hi Dennis,
Nice shot. I like the angle you took this at, it really does give a sense of size. And, all the repeating shapes are cool, and that includes the spot lights down on the grass, to the right. Also like the way the sunlight was hitting the building...nice. The details are so sharp...great thing about film. Well done!

Hi Dennis, Nice building you shot there.I didn't know there is a small copy of the parthenon outside Athene.I wonder what's the purpose of it.The colors of the building are great.I don't know why you get so less critics because it's a beautiful photo.I play a bit whit the skycolors and made a crop to see the building more on the front. I hope you like it, it's not mutch of a improvement but a personnal tutch.Greetings...Jonny

Hi Dennis,

I really like the light, shadows, and angle on this one. Having the people there really does give an idea of the scale. I might have cropped a little from the lower left (or maybe the clone tool) to remove the sign or structure from the left, but then again, I like it like this. Nice capture.

Regards,
Stephen

Beautiful picture Dennis, a huge building, very impressive! The States are very impressive. I have been ten days in Boston a while ago, I cannot imagine how the cities are big to compare to us here in Canada. Terrible! And I like a lot your picture here, it shows it is big in US!
Best regards
Guy

I tend to use both filters on my film SLR camera, in bright conditions like this. In fact, the skylight filter is always on the lens, to protect it from scratches etc. The polariser might have deepended the green and beige hues here, Dennis. Still, excellent angle. TFS.

I did not believe my eyes at first - Parthenon so perfectly repaired! Of course I thought there was only one Parthenon - the one in Athens, Greece, that was destroyed (by a swede!) some hundred years ago. Parthenon is on restauration since some years ago, but I do not think the intention is to make it new again! Very good picture, anyway. Do you know if your Nashville Parthenon has the same size as the original in Greece?
