[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Found this flower among many green leaves while walking through the opryland hotel in Nashville. I'm not sure what kind of flower it is but it's bright pedals and deep green leaves caught my eye. If anyone out there has been to the Opryland Hotel then they know that it's one of the most amazing hotels out there.

PP:Cropped slightly from the sides increased red a bit sharpened and resized.

Hi Dennis,
Nice bloom. Very pretty, so I can see why you caught it. The composition is okay, but, I think you would've been better with a more portrait orientation to include the bloom in the background, and to off center the flower, as to not restrict eye movement...now, it's like a bull's eye everytime I see it. However, your dof is really good. It blurs the back just enough to let the main flower pop, but still give interesting textures. And, the image is really sharp...very good focus. Not to mention the color is very good...very vivid which lends more energy to the angular leaves.
Good work.
Richard

Very nice picture Dennis, I like a lot. I don't know ether the name of that flower but it is a very good composition, very nice color, looks real.
Best regards
Guy

This is a bit weird, as my eyes seem to have trouble resting somewhere, Dennis. I think Richard made a point, a tighter crop would be better maybe... the DoF is very large, and that's beautiful, but with these leaves as thin as lines leading the eye away, I don't know. Still, the flower itself is very sharp and the colours are impeccable. TFS.
