An abandoned stone and tin house in Central Texas, near Austin. I had to swerve off the road to get the shot. I was a little afraid I might get shot, as people in Texas carry guns. But instead, got the shot!
Hope you like it!

Hi Linda.

When I see such pictures, it is like somebody is taken away my heart from my chest.
How can such beautiful places be abandoned!
And, you were very brave :) But still, i think that it was worth, the picture is trully beautiful.

Congratulations.
Luci

funny how central Texas looks like central France!!but the sky s always "bluest" (from the song "the bluest eyes in Texas" from "the cardigans") in Texas!
nice shot,Linda, nice perspective, lucky the guys carrying guns aint shot you !!!
take care
Phil

Yes I like your SHOT not the guns shot. -:)
Hi Linda

Good thing I scrolled that far back today, otherwise I would have missed this. I like these old scenes, and you did a good job in pp to spice it up a bit, without going overboard. I can just hear the 'Deliverance' banjo playing in the background....
Cheers
Otto

Cool shot. There is always a lot of history behind these old houses.
A lot of questions with no answer also.
Well done and TFS.

Love the comp, the atmosphere, a bit desolate, sad to see a house, once someone's pride, crumble, thanx and well done, M, (*_*)

hi linda!
great shot with great colors and composition.

Hi Linda, if no one lives there anymore maybe I can move in next summer holiday...

This is a great shot with good colours and compo but maybe you could get in a little closer next time. If someone comes at you with a gun, just yell: "I'll Shoot back!"

TFS, Frank

Great shot Linda, nice composition and exposure

Well Done

Chris

Hi Linda,
Do you take care! Afraid of getting shot while taking pictures sounds soooooo bizarre for me. This is a Michael Moore plot!

But regarding the picture you posted. It is a nice composition but the foreground isn't that interesting, so a firm crop could help to improve the view. Overall Job well done and TFS.
Hans
I hope you don't consider to buy a gun to feel safe. You won't.... :(

Nice shot, Linda. Glad you got it. I like these older homes, they are interesting. For some reason, I didn't get as far back with points as I usually do.

Besides, those cowboys have to 'see' you to get you, LOL.

Hi Linda...lets just hope someone takes pity and restores it. Lovely photo, excellent colours and well composed. TFS,
David

You are lucky Linda that you took the shot before you got a shot........ haha.

Beautiful picture has been taken with nice structure in focus. Blue sky with clouds looks nice. Point of view closer to earth is interesting.

Thanks for sharing this picture.
