Even though flies are nasty little creatures that eat garbage and other nasty things, they help to cleanse the environment. In addition, they can be harmful to humans since they are carriers of many diseases, especially in tropical countries. They are very annoying, and people often love to swat them to death! Their flight paths are out of this world, which makes them very hard to catch! The province's most popular amusement park, Paramount Canada's Wonderland (North of Toronto), even has a ride inspired by their crazed flying techniques! Many of us don't like flies, because they are just nasty looking...but they are interesting nonetheless!

P.S. I know someone in our TL family that wants to post her own picture of this interesting creature. Let's see whose fly looks more disgusting? :) I propose a challenge!! I'm waiting for your addition --> M.

Hi Tom,

Definitely this fly brings lots of bacteria, but you captured this image beautifully, and very sharp.
Looks clean but don't know his hands . .

Jest tak jak piszesz, nedzna, mala kreatura, ale wiesz ona tez jest od Boga tak jak pszczolki :) Obrzydliwa to granic ale jest taka wlasnie zeby docenic motylki na przyklad.

Besides a beautiful macro image, its title is also pretty attractive. Nicely composed view from head on. Fine details and high contrast are charming. Well done my friend.

I love the title. not just effective for bacteria but it is free too :)
