[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The beautiful stained glass spiral roof inside the Thanksgiving Square chapel in downtown Dallas. What a lovely and inspiring place.

Shot was taken using the wide angle attachment for the 6490 (still not quite wide enough to get it all, but close). The camera was on my tripod on it's very lowest setting, with just enough room for me to get my head under it while lying on my back on the floor of the chapel. I'm sure I looked like a complete idiot, but it was all int he name of photography, right? LOL

Contrast and brightness adjustments, boosted the colors about 5 points, and applied a slight USM.

Beautiful caleidoscopic picture! The spiral seems to come circling down from the light source... beautiful shot which keeps me looking... To capture them all, maybe flat on your back is an option? Or have you already done so?! Well done, TFS!

hi Laurie , do u capture this shot lying on the floor ? hehe ...perfect sample of kaleidoscope! the formation of lights at the middle, interesting!

Wow! This chappel is original. It is a lot of work. You made a good capture. You control weel the light. I try some vitrails. It's a violent contrast! And here the form if this ... We see ful of relief cause the structure is not only black. Great!

Laurie, this is a beautiful pictue. Your composition, lighting and colour are excellent.
Thanks for sharing,
Liz

Beautiful and well captured.

I am suprised that you have not received more praise for this well composed photo. Good on you for plucking up the courage to lie on your back. I too can often be seen lying in a park garden taking photos, half twisted, looking like i never made it home from a party. Thank you also for the informative guidelines. Well done. Paul.
