[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a very different type of image for me. It was an exercise in simplicity and symmetry that I assigned to myself. I wanted to practice something I had not tried before.

PP:
-minor cropping
-bordered
-resized for TL

Amy, I am not 100% sure if I like this in colour, it would have to be more abstract, I feel... and this brown/green/yellowish colour reminds me of everything that was ugly about the 70's...
I think a conversion in b/w and a completely different crop might help, a lot. Personally, If I were in this elevator now with a compact digital, I'd try to capture the patterns at an angle and convert it to b/w...
But this is just my opinion, anyway, if we constantly said just "great!" we wouldn't have to post here, would we...? But I value versatility in a photographer, too! Go on shooting abstracts! Please do!

hi amy,
this is an eyecatching work,u managed it well.nicely cropped, well lighted.pleasing repetitions in details and I think it would be too much better if you had done some color related PP work with this compo.
regards

Amy, the thumbnail does not do justice to this great shot, as it somehow reduces its expression. You really chose the right angle to preserve the depth. Very good.

ComplimentS!

Very nice experiment, Amy, and agree with you that it is good to try different thing. I like Madga's workshop because it is more focused on just part of the texture but yours also presents a nice angle which gives an impression of three dimension in your photo. Continue experimenting and we are going to follow them.

You might want to also try rotating the image to see what it does and I think Frank might have a point about the B&W as these colours are not necessarily attractive. Well done.

Hi Amy, I've read through the numerous comments on your post and it sounds like good information on what people like. I agree with Frank, you've got to try and this site is one to learn on.

Keep it up.
