[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Did we have a Friday Theme this week?? Even IF we had, doubtful many people even get near the forums anymore because of one particular person with their group hell-bent on bringing TL down. It's a shame. This site used to be so much fun.
Anyways, a simple butterfly. I loved the curve of the leaf here. Hope you like it!
B-)

Hi, Linda.
A beautiful photograph of a popular but loved subject. I like the diagonal composition. The soft lighting, point of view, depth of field is very appropriate for this subject. Congratulations on a job well done. Good post and TFS.

Hi Linda,
Nice macro shot this butterfly. The details are really good and I like the angle of the leaf and butterfly. The colors in the wings are beautiful. Nice work.
Regards,
Kevin

Hi Linda,
Wonderful butterfly shot! Excellent DOF with the B'fly pin sharp and the background totally blurred. It keeps the focus on the "bird" :-)
Hans

Hi Linda,

Nice image, lovely glossy leaves and nicely blurred background.
Brian and myself were commenting on how nice It would have been If you could have graced us with your company yesterday on our trip to Portencross in sunny Ayrshire, but then their is that pesky large pond between us, maybe someday.

hi linda, trouble in river city? the site still is fun for me but i dont do the forums...anyways yes that leaf is cool looking along with the flutterby, very delicate shot, looks (on my moniter anyways) a stop or 1/2 stop too dark? still very neat shot,
thanks,
scott

hi linda,
what a super sharp capture. this is a beautifully composed image. the butterfly is exquisite and the curling leaf is imitating the curves of the wings.
hugs,
Brian

Hi Linda,

It seems we take nature for granted sometimes. It's when people take photos of animals, bugs, flowers, etc.. up close that we really glory in the splendor of it all. The markings on this butterfly are amazing. It almost looks like it has been painted with perfect markings. Your soft background shows off the butterfly features quite nicely.

Another great butterfly!! Lisa

Hi Linda,
Beaut shot, very natural and deep colours. Such amazing clarity too, the composition is also nice. A pleasure to look at, well done.

TFS,
Scott.

Boa tarde Linda

Hi, Linda -
I don't know who is trying to bring down TL, but as long as members keep posting photos like this one, I won't be leaving anytime soon. Beautifully composed, excellent compo, superb macro details and sensational colors! I've got to get to this butterfly museum - you got so many great images there. Well done.
