Your note brings such a high importance to the photo. The light goes with the thoughts - melancholic.

Linda, You made these? Oh my gosh! What intricate details. Absolutely gorgeous. You've got to build you an out building so you can set up another shop just for you!! I would love to see more photos of your work. The curves in this are amazing.

About the photo itself. It has an old fashioned appeal to me. I like the black and white choice too. The lighting is soft and gentle. It would also look nice in sepia and made to look like an "Old" photo. :) Nice job on this one! Lisa

Great job scanning that one in - I take it the film was black & white? Looks great - you are definitely multi-talented - beautiful work on both the presentation of the work in the photograph and the gingerbread. We have that up here in St. Louis. I guess a lot of folks consider us to be in the South, too, though...

It's very nostalgic photo, Linda! I like its old-fashioned look. B&W tones works perfectly here. The soft light emphasized delicacy of your woodworks.

Great image conveying the atmosphere of an honest workplace. I like the repeating pattern of the 3 pieces of "gingerbread" and the shot works so well in b&w. Your note is inspiring - you are a strong person to adapt the way you have, remembering what you lost but appreciating all you have gained. I was thinking about your note and a discussion I was having with my mentor (I'm studying Personal Training, but we're both martial artists and our discussions can get quite deep). Anyway, we were talking about choices the other day. Life is a choice. When things go all pear-shaped, we can choose to dwell on it and suffer, or we can choose to go on and grow, as you have done. I always find that inspiring - another green smiley for you!!! hehe

What i like here is the half dark atmosphere in the litlle workshop,it fitts good with the handycraft mood.
